Dear all,
sorry, I can not speak dutch, so I use English here.
I am supposed to convert a Brawa Oppeln in 1:45 to be a wagon of the NS.
Now I am searching for the right colors and also a source where to buy them.
I want to paint them in grey.
I also would like to know what font the NS use for the the letters on there wagon.
I am also very happy for any suggestion which other cars can be done out of Lenz and Brawa.
Tia for all your help.

Hallo Ralf,
@At first: Welcome. (y)
First thought: KleiNSpoor Paint (http://www.kleinspoor.nl/ns-verf.html). The website is in Dutch. Mayby they supply also tranfers in scale O
Grz Ronald.

Try www.philotrain.nl or www.phildie.nl.

Hi Ralf,
I was also a fan of KleiNSpoor paint. However it is an old fasion oilbase paint and it needs about a day or two until its overpaintable.
Last time I used Phildie (http://www.phildie.nl/Phildie/verf-kleurenschema.htm). It's dry within an hour (y).

I don't think grey or brown for freight cars requires special ns colours. According to Maikel Kastelijn grey is RAL 7016, redbrown is RAL 8012
On his site you will find many examples of conversions and kits. Unfortunately just in Dutch and without the possibility of deeplinks.

And of course someone on this site already did it (with Tamiya spray cans ;D).

Also Tag0train with several examples of conversions, e.g. Lenz g10.

...and in case all this special paint is a bit hard to obtain, panzergrau/german grey (revell 78, tamiya XF63, humbroll 67) will do perfectly fine if the wagon is not supposed to look brand new.
-
Or Revell 9 , if you're choose the brand new look.

panzergrau/german grey (revell 78, tamiya XF63, humbroll 67)
Recently, however, Humbrol seems to have changed 67 into an almost black shade of grey. Personally I have switched to 32 [which has also become darker than the tinlet suggests].

Hello all,
after all the help, maybe you can help me again.
Which font do the Nederlandse Spoorwegen use between 1943 and 1954 and after that?
I would like to create my own decals.
Best regards,
Ralf

Hello Ralf,
You wil find maybe an answer in this thread: Lettertype NS / Font NS (http://forum.beneluxspoor.net/?topic=21121.0).
