Hi,
What's the best reference or RAL to paint the Gottwald Railway Telescopic Crane GS 100.06T produced by Kibri (16000) in the yellow scheme?
Is this railway crane used by DB or DB Bahnbau?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I started to paint some parts with Tamiya Spray TS-34 Camel Yellow. What do you think about the results?

Suppose its RAL 1023, but in some pictures the yellow appears brighter so a 1016 could be the color to..

Hi,
what are the best options (Marklin, Roco, etc), regarding support wagons (crane vehicle auxiliary carriage) to use with this Gottwald Railway Crane?
Thanks

It depends on what the crane is suppose to do when going to a job.
(all jobs are different)
But most of the time one or 2 flat cars with a little standing edge are with it for the crane ballast and som other heavy stuff, and depending of the time it is on the job one or 2 boxcars for spare parts and workshop/mobile lunch place(dont know the correct word for it now :-[ )

Hi Ayala,
The official color used on track maintenance machines is RAL 1004. I never figured out why, but for some reason all the producers (P&T, Matisa, Kirow, Gottwald, etc.) use this color.
The auxiliary cars for such a crane depends on the owner, but are standard for a certain crane.
For this crane you will at least need a flat car in front of it (during transport), since the beam sticks out.
On this flat car all kind of equipment is carried, like chains, cables, extra fuel tank, etc. but also an extra beam which is used for lifting switches or tracks.
At the website Eisenbahndienstfahrzeuge (http://www.eisenbahndienstfahrzeuge.de) you can find pictures of the cranes and their auxiliary cars.

I also build the same crane with auxiliary cars. Is used the picture above as an example and used a Roco 66755 for it.
The crane you are now building has a fixed weight at the back, so no extra car is needed on the back side.
You can add an extra car for the crew to take a break during work or to do small repairs. I have used a Roco 64294 for that and airbrushed it RAL 1004 (Vallejo Modelair 71078).
You can use decal from TL-Modellbau (http://www.tl-modellbau.de/TL-Decals/Bahn-Decals-1-87/Schienenfahrzeuge/) for this.
