Deutsche Bahn said to prepare US$23 billion DB
Schenker sale
GERMAN national railway Deutsche Bahn is preparing for the sale of sale or listing of its DB Schenker logistics unit, valued at EUR20 billion (US$23 billion), reports Bloomberg. The joint stock company, in which the government is the largest shareholder, is considering options that include a full or majority stake sale, to the potential disposal of a minority holding.
Schenker, like other transport and logistics firms, has gained in value during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to sources. Even though the German government hasn't made a final decision on whether to pursue a sale, buyout firms are gathering. Carlyle Gro and CVC Capital Partners are in talks to team up on a bid, while Advent International and Bain Capital as well as Blackstone may also seek to team up. Schenker could also attract rival logistics companies. Danish transport giant DSV would be interested in buying DB Schenker if the German state decides to sell, said DSV chief financial officer Jens Lund. Other potential suitors in that space could include Germany's Deutsche Post and Kuehne & Nagel of Switzerland. comment. A spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn said a decision hasn't been made yet and declined to comment further. The chances of Germany's government selling state-owned assets and company stakes increased after the three-party coalition agreed late last year to name Christian Lindner of the pro-business Free Democrats as finance minister. Ik ga even uit de lucht en ren naar de bank met die paar USD biljetten die ik nog in m'n la heb liggen.
Dat de inval in Oekraine invloed heeft op de valuta handel was te verwachten, maar dat de Dollar zover gekelderd is, had ik niet verwacht . . . ;D

Natuurlijk is dit vanuit "hun" perspectief gezien, maar je moet de zaken natuurlijk wel in de juiste context plaatsen
En als je dus een bedrag in EUR presenteert, moet je ook de dáárbij horende eenheden gebruiken

Dat zie je verkeerd. Het is allebei in het Engels gesteld, dus de ene billion is hetzelfde als de andere billion.

Nee, Engels billion is Nederlands miljard.

Nee, een Amerikaans billion is een miljard, een Engels billion was wel een biljoen, maar dat hebben de eilanders zelf ook al door elkaar gegooid.
Daarnaast leek het me vrij duidelijk dat de prijs die ik noem verre van realistisch is. ;)
